Pursuant to the directions dated: 11th April, 6th May and 9th May 2016 in No.261/2015-16 of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, KLEU cancelled its medical UG Entrance Test originally proposed on 7th May 2016 and instead proposes to conduct seat selection counselling process based on National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) results of CBSE. 

This Brochure contains how and what the candidates have to follow as procedure for filling the application, eligibility criteria, eligibility to participate in seat selection process, mandatory certificates / documents to be produced, etc.

The applicants are required to read this brochure thoroughly before making the application and adhere to the rules and procedure strictly. Further, The KLEU website

www.kleuniversity.edu.in contains information and current updates / alerts. This site is updated regularly. It is suggested to all applicants to visit it frequently for relevant information.

Clinical Skills Lab:

This is a unique facility to train the students using simulation technology. They get hands on opportunity to perform clinical procedures   on models, manikins, tissues and simulators. Department of Medical Education(DOME):

1400 bed KLE Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital,  provides  free health care in basic specialities to the poor.  1000 bed Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & Medical Research Centre provides  cost effective  superspeciality health care services in cardio thoracic & vascular surgery, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, paediatric surgery, cardiac anaesthesiology, nephrology, gastro eneterology, oncology, laparoscopic surgery, diabetology etc . The medical students are   exposed to a holistic approach to the full spectrum of science and art of modern medical practice in low as well as high resource settings. This is one of the largest hospitals with 2400 beds under one roof. There are 26 major operation theatres and 240 ICU beds. The hospital is empanelled by many Governmental and Non Governmental health insurance schemes.

 Health Centres:

Three primary Health Centre’, at Kinaye,Wantamuri and Handignur and a Urban Health Centre at Rukmini Nagar, have been taken over by the college from the Government under the Public Private Partnership.  These Health Centres are completely managed by the College. KLE University MBBS / BDS Admission 2016

Admission to MBBS & BDS, academic year 2016-17, will be based on the eligibility as per ‘NEET’ Score 2016. The merit list of the candidates who have applied to the KLE University MBBS / BDS will be prepared based on NEET examination. The selection will done on the basis of merit of candidates reported for counseling.

After the introduction of NEET 2016, the admission to MBBS / BDS courses in KLE University will be granted on the basis of NEET 2016 Score.
